We Make the Instruments That Measure the Ocean

Oceantek designs and manufactures ADCPs, DVLs, and hydrophones from our Hangzhou facility — in-house transducer fabrication, titanium machining, and ISO-certified production. Deployed by hydrographic agencies, offshore operators, and research institutions in 100+ countries.

Manufacturing

We Don't Just Design. We Build.

In-house control over the four processes that determine instrument quality — from raw

ceramic to calibrated unit.

Transducer Fabrication

Transducer Fabrication

In-House · Ceramic to Acoustic Head

Piezoelectric ceramic element assembly, acoustic matching layer application, and beam pattern validation — all done in our transducer lab. This is the core acoustic engine of every ADCP and DVL we ship.

oceantek 75kHz ADCP Stock Preparation with cnc machining of titanium alloy pressure housings

Titanium Alloy Machining

On-Site · 6,000m Pressure Rated

CNC machining of titanium alloy pressure housings in our own workshop. Every housing is pressure-tested before assembly — from shallow-water transducer bodies to full-ocean-depth DVL casings.

Assembly & Integration

Assembly & Integration

Clean Room · End-to-End Build

Each instrument is assembled by a dedicated technician — electronics integration, transducer mounting, connector sealing, and firmware loading. Single-unit traceability from components to serial number.

Calibration & Wet Testing

Calibration & Wet Testing

100% of Units · In-Water Validation

Every ADCP and DVL is wet-tested in our calibration tank or test pool before shipment. Beam alignment, velocity accuracy, and bottom-track lock are verified — not sampled, not spot-checked.

The Engine That Drives Us

Our core R&D team — 40 engineers with 80% holding master’s or doctoral degrees in acoustics, oceanography, signal processing, and electronic engineering — is the reason we can offer Tier-1 comparable performance at manufacturer-direct pricing.

We don’t license third-party transducer designs or outsource signal processing. Every beam-forming algorithm, every acoustic matching layer, every firmware module is developed here.

  • Self-developed broadband & phased-array transducer technology
  • Proprietary acoustic signal processing and Doppler estimation algorithms
  • Ongoing collaboration with oceanographic research institutes
  • Continuous investment in new frequency bands and form factors

Quality

How We Ensure Every Unit

Three-stage quality control. 100% of instruments wet-tested. This is non-negotiable.

Incoming QC

Every component — ceramic elements, PCB assemblies, titanium blanks, cables — is inspected and logged before entering the production floor. Bad parts never reach assembly.

In-Line Testing

Battery-powered autonomous recording forweeks to months. 75-PA4 in Self-Containedconfiguration is the deep-ocean standard.

Final Wet Test

Every completed instrument is deployed in our in-house test pool. Beam alignment, bottom-track lock, velocity accuracy, and full-system diagnostics — verified on 100% of units before packing.

ISO 9001:2015

Quality Management System

Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, covering product design, manufacturing, assembly, and calibration. Audited annually by an independent certification body — the certificate applies to the full production chain, from incoming component inspection to final wet-test before shipment.

Oceantek's 30+ invention patents

30+ Invention Patents

Transducer · Beam Control · Algorithm · Structure

Over 30 invention patents protect our core technologies — piezoelectric transducer design, acoustic beam forming, Doppler signal processing, and pressure-housing engineering. These are granted patents, not applications — independent evidence of a self-developed product line, not an assembled one.
